Hey,

Planning a 3 night sup around Moreton bay with a group of mates. Just wondering if any has or can recommend SUPs for hire. Preferably of the proper touring type, 14 odd foot to carry rider and some camping kit.

Also, be great to hear of anyone who's done something similar. 3 nights on Peel Island, Kooringal and Tangalooma. Averaging about 20kms a day.

Cheers,
Saxon

Having grown up at Redcliffe and spent most of my life on the Bay I think I qualify to give some advice.

Pick the wind direction carefully. I;ve been flogged in small boats doing the exactly same trip as you are planning, I couldn't imagine being blown back on a Stand Up with all your gear.

The barge from Pinkinba would be the go,load your SUPs and gear on and walk of at the Wrecks at Tangalooma, paddle of in any direction.Remember Moreton is a national park and you can;t camp where ever like.

Moretons like Straddie a big triangle with waves everywhere around the north side.
