If you could go and SUP anywhere in the world ... where would you go?
curious to hear where you would go
Me .. I would love Fjords in Norway
Canada, the lakes look amazing with the mountains surrounding them
Switzerland for similar reasons as Canada
Im very very new to SUP and cant surf SUP so maybe once I get to that stage my list would change a bit, but for now these will do
Cool thread.
Cloudy for sure on my backhand. Not too hectic - maybe 4 foot with occasional bigger sets. (That vid by Keahi was all time and made me want to go ).
Frontside - I would say Bells. Big, clean Bells. Again , not maxing out, s*#*ing yourself size but big enough to be manageable and fun.
That'd be my picks - for today.
Hey MangoDingo,
that sounds fantastic, waves around that size would be ideal and something for me to one day to aim for.
any links to the video you mentioned?
Hi micksmith
that sounds very interesting and I may need to google it to see the waves on the lakes you mentioned
nice one

Love to paddle part of the Murray - ie Morgan to Goolwa - or something around 4 or 5 day leisurely paddle and stay at campgrounds or caravan parks - need more research, but would be good with the river flowing steadily - good rain in North
Steve
So many possibilities!! I would like to paddle down the Columbia River, through the Grand Canyon and other stretches in the area. I would only want to do it if it was survivable...not sure if the rapids are manageable on a SUP.

awesome Steve, cheers
haha yeah CSE, surviving would be nice ;)
sounds really good and hopefully doable with the rapids etc ... I didn't actually think about multi day trips before so thats a cool idea and opens up the possibilities to so many more adventures

I'll like to put ,
Full roady around Oz ,hopefully timed for best seasonal waves .
Taiwan ,down southern peninsula .
NZ, Gizzy up to Hicks and around exploring keyhole bays n breaks .
Java , Red beach....Mrs called out.??
??A walkabout to share waves n boards with other Breezers at their local ...??
Great thread!
Flatwater i reckon any Fjords would be amazing, also somewhere in the South Pacific.
Surfing would have to be some rediculouslt long point break like Raglan. Solid Bells would be epic as well and even though I live in West Oz Gnaraloo is on my list.
Great thread
I would love to paddle the fjords of Norway!
but here are some more awesome places for the list
For SUP surf:
it's Chicama, Peru

Whoops -after the news last night ( fish kills - green water - lowest in years ) plus input from some surf club members who rowed down the MURRAY years ago, I have scrubbed that idea - NOW either New Zealand North Island OR Perth to Darwin with pop top van and boards -
Did already as warm up
7 weeks last feb/march from Arrawarra Headland down the NSW COAST into VIC and Wilsons Prom, Phillip Is plus Great Ocean Rd down to Port Cambell - just drove and pulled over if any sign pointed east and checked it on google maps ( smart phone ), finished up in some great spots with lagoon/river and surf paddles - campgounds/parking on roadsides/ even van parks in Phillip Is and Ocean Road
Great trip Steve and Carol

Your trip down the east coast sounds fantastic, just drive and stop when you want ... great way to explore our stunning coastline and country.. hope we hear that you do manage to do NZ or west coast trip in the near future mate
+1 Chicama
Is there anything like Chicama with a right-hand break?
One trip to place like that on your backhand , your backhand will no longer be your weak side.
I just wanna go outside!
Ha! You been gettin' stuck indoors JEG?
I'm indoor most of the time and I wanna get a tropical tan!
+1 Chicama
I second that! Chicama. My legs started to burn just watching it. Thanks for posting.

Anywhere in the Rockies in Canada, Lake Louise, Canmore, Kananaskis. Hawaii mainly Maui, and to be honest anywhere as long as I am not at work and I'm on my board.
