Staying at a certain hotel on the North shore just for a few days before going into Town , 14 hour sleep and woke up to this view from my balcony , think the guy on the Naish is having to much fun on his own
Turtle bay Hilton , great spot , SUP hire with friendly staff as well , took out the Surftech Gerry Lopez fun waves !
That area should be good Mon-Tues, keep an eye out for nearby spots when the east swell arrives... and be careful with the pool bar Mai tai's, those things are strong.

Looks fantastic - and they hire our real surf SUPs. I am traveling on business and lucky to be staying at a resort. I tried renting a SUP yesterday for the surf. The beast must weigh over 20 kg, must be 12' long, and the aluminium paddle looks like it belongs on a row-boat. Still caught a few waves but it was like surfing the Titanic.
And this happened !
Coming to a fish & chip shop near you...
And this happened !
they killed a little shark?
doesn't really look like something that would attack a surfboard or sup? Or even a tourist?
Nah ! just a small shark that had been hooked by a fisherman and it snapped him in the reef , shark died and washed up on the reef and they just pulled it ashore , all the Middle America tourists were freaking about it ,

I was out at ala moana beach park in the middle of the day with 4 other surfers at our particular break. If you have any way to make the drive, its worth the 10 minutes.
Hey Exiled i ended up in the Arvo going out to the break just a touch to the right of the Pink Palace and a hell of alot further out towards Ala Moana , there was about 6 of us , was great until the wind went a bit wierd and there was a big lull between waves , but awesome compared to the big pack in the middle
Didnt try to hire a board thru Blue Planet as my hotel (Waikiki Resort hotel ) had no board storage and the lifts are way too small , feeling pissed off i didnt do my homework and not wanting to pay $40 ! a hour on the beach i stumbled on Moku Surf hire 1 minute walk from my hotel and directly behind the Duke statue $140 for 7 days !!!!!!! Friendly staff bit limited on boards but hey im out there , hired a 9, 1 to start but only 106 litres , thin rails and i struggled in the small surf , got the bigger 10 1 board at 150 litres and i was away , headed out to Pops and Paradise and the last 3 days have been great , we are just getting the last of a Tropical Cyclone Darby but mon , tue and Wednesday are looking better for my last few days ,

Did you take your board? Where did you store it?
How SUP friendly is it? How crowded are the waves?
Is June/July the best time to visit if you want waves and sunny weather so my wife can enjoy the beach?
