Hey guys do you feel like you should be getting more out of the time you spend on your sup? I'm starting a once a week skills session, this will be designed to improve the basics of your paddling and all the fundamentals of sup. It is aimed at everyone, whether you paddle for leisure or in a squad, if you have a race board your more than welcome. It will be on every Monday mornings from Winders Park at 5.30am. We will work on getting through the break, kick turns, wash riding etc so you can take these skills back to your training and see the improvements. Simply a minimum of gold coin donation and I'll put it all towards Lacey getting back on his feet.
Just a reminder this is skill based only not a fitness session, if your looking for fitness sessions your more than welcome Tues/Thurs 5am. Look forward to being on the water with you soon

Thxs Kelly. This a good one to go too and has been in planning for a while. If you can do the skills easy , you don't,t need Olympic fitness levels to enjoy DW ing ,surfing . Put it this way I would take skill over fitness any day cheers

There has been a great turn out so far on the Monday mornings and everyone has been getting a lot out of it.
Just letting everyone know it will continue over the xmas period, so I'll see you all in the morning 5.30am winders park, Currumbin.
Remember its a minimum gold coin donation and all the money raised is going towards Lacey getting back on his feet

Great stuff Kelly, really learning a lot, improved my technique in the first five minutes . I'm starting to undo some bad habits and really noticing the difference, especially in my lower back and shoulders . It's great to be able to learn from someone at the top of the tree who's done the hard yards for so many years and acquired such good knowledge and skill. Thanks for giving your time and I hope Lacey's doing well on his road to recovery.

Hi Kelly I just wanted to know how long you will be running these technique and skills sessions as I start work at 8 in town and I think I will be pushing it to get to there ontime I have those shifts for another 4 weeks then can come and join in if your still doing them.
Is there any chance you will still be running the sessions in a months time?
Thanks Kelly
Kylie
