Last August I borrowed a long board SUP and thought I would really like one so I got the Lord Bonza and really wanted to bring it to Noosa which has now happened.
I have had some small waves but today the swell has started to pick up on the point and this board is making my life easier and it really is a Point riding board and the speed in the faster sections is getting more and more once I figure out how to drive it down the line. Getting out the back is so much easier with the thinner nose than my old board and I have been able to make some really late take off's in really shallow water and it holds the line to a tee.
Go Pro footage was not going well so I will take a few pics of the swell to help us all along.
It was a little bigger today and a lot of really good surfers taking off so far inside it was tough getting onto the good waves. 6 ft sets but I managed to get one of the mid sized waves around 4-5 ft.
Last Surf this morning the wind is heading toward 30kn and will swing around soon.
Dave ,I presume you are going to surf your way home?still more warm water fun to come !sounds like it's been fun so far !

Unfortunately not, did Kirra on the way up but no time going back home, the boards are only getting wet by the thunder storms near Gosford today. Went past your place but only via the freeway this time.
Dave ,we're you happy with the bonza,in the Noosa zippers,it should have had the top end speed, when you weren't dodging all the van life hipster's

Yep the Lord Bonza was great in the small waves up to the 5-6ft in Granite Bay and Tee tree. Those Van lifers gave me the ****s at times but it was really good surf so there were a lot of hot dogger young guys so waves were at a premium as you would expect. the Lord Bonza held up on the steeper walls and late take offs it was me who wiped out more than the board not handling the conditions or had to bail due to heavy traffic. I learnt a lot about the board up there and have much more confidence when it gets bigger now so I cannot wait for Easter and the possible swell that comes this time of year.
