Thumbs Up

Maze out there for the newbie.
Don't want all the gear, no idea!

Best advice, yet: TRY B4 YOU BUY!!!
Thankyou Seabreeze

On paper, I would have thought I might like a 10"6' X 31.
BUT just bought a 9"10' x 29' Hobie Sumo 2nd hand board.
Am 170cm, 60kg and find this stable, but so much easy to manoeuvre.
Had lesson with 6"1' , 70kg son and he also really liked this board!
Compared it with a 10"6' and 11".
On river/ creek, no surf/ waves when tried it out.

Any thoughts on usefulness - or not- of:

* board covers?
to protect on roof of car, garage storage (not to "cook" board)

* paddle covers?

* adjustable vs. cut to size carbon paddle for newbie

Using SUP on bay, some small waves, not sure if will try to surf.

Thanks, everyone
