Just wondering how long people have been involve in SUP in the Newcastle area? Also, how long before you got your own equipment It wasn't something I had ever really come across until last year when I first had a go...guess it's like lots of things, you don't know what you don't know!
Hoping to get out on the water again sometime soon.

i'v been surfing on a sup out Dixon and Merewether for about 4 years now, i first started with my dad and mate Glenn turner and used a 11'2 mal and borrowed Glenns paddle,
then we had a old sail board that Glenn cut down the stringer and put broken surf boards up the middle and glassed it back up stuck some fins in it then i made and went through about 6 paddles ( they were made from broom stick and vacuum cleaner pipe.) now riding a new 7'10 custom c4 waterman and riding for the c4 team, also corefour sup school is in Newcastle, Newcastle sup club and c4 waterman Australia is based in Newcastle.
