Last Sunday was almost perfect at my favorite spot. Three sessions on one cracker of a day!

Great vid and beautiful conditions..
This is freaks me out a bit because yesterday I bought a new double cd best of Golden Earring..
I bought it mostly for that song and once loaded in my computer I had that song (Rader Love) playing over and over on repeat..
I hadn't listened to it for years.. Very freaky..
nice waves , interesting to watch as I have the same board and weight, I was watching where you have your feet, my board feels best the further back and on the rail I can move my back foot in the turns , seems to slow down and not turn as well if my weight is further forward. Best board I have ridden although the deck is staring to get a bit of a soft spot.
I just watched the original vid of Robbie Naish riding one , its good to watch and see what they can do. I caught a smallish wave the other day that was holding up and not quite breaking, where you might normally be weight forward and paddling just to keep going, instead I put a lot of effort into turning the board from the tail from side to side , seemed to pick up speed like the way a skateboard can be pumped along. The x 32 sometimes feels pretty lame if you just stand and go along for the ride but the more effort you put into it the better it seems to get,I am often out of breath after a wave,[ maybe I am forgetting to breath or else I am just too old].
You are right it probably is the rocker , you need to get it up planing on the tail and not pushing water with the belly of the board. I tried a 9 1 x 32 . it felt only a little better to paddle but not as good on a wave.
Do you have the link to the video of Robby Naish?
You are right though, the sooner you can start the turn the faster it comes alive. I will have to try the skateboard pumping action.
