If i post a pic from my pc.....is the right way up......but from phone always the wrong way. Mayb Laurie can solve this conundrum?
Not sure if this is relevant or the same, but I have a Samsung phone, and rarely take photos on it, but....
If I take a phone picture in "portrait" mode, that is holding the phone so the phone taller than it is wide, then upload that to a PC, picture is right way up on the PC but posts to Seabreeze on it's side. Rotating the picture on the PC makes no difference, it still posts on its' side. Picture must retain some info as to which way it was.
If I take a phone picture in "landscape" mode, holding the phone so it is wider than it is tall, picture posts to Seabreeze the right way up, but only if the phone is rotated 90 degrees to the right. 90 degrees to the left posts upside down.
If I rotate the picture on the PC, then crop by a tiny amount, it posts the right way regardless.
It is a sad testimony on the state of my life that I have worked these things out.....
Best advice:
- upload your pics to a dedicated photo site. I recommend imgur.com
- post on seabreeze only the addresses (URLs) of the pics.
This way the specialized site handles correctly all the metadata of the pictures, you can even edit them, and you do not force the seabreeze infrastructure to deal with having to store the photos (which costs money)
Oh......being from a small NZ town......i thought The Great God Laurie.....might have a "press this button" solution ha ha
