I love Judging Surfing Contest I'm So On The Money. Even Watching The Quicksilver PRO I'm 100% Accurate With The Judging Panel
Hawaiian Sebastian Zietz has been on Fire lucky he got a wild card.
went down yesterday , horrible waves for the worlds best , should of had a lay day.
No way teatrea as the surf is only going to get smaller all week check out surfline so they had to run the event yesterday and since cyclone Winston the bank at Snapper is only good at Low Tide. How good are the girls Surfing Now it's taken them 30 years to catch up.
I've got my money on FilipeToledo he's on fire and got to be to odds on favourite
But there is a Big Low forming out in the Coral Sea "Yes Please Mr Wizard"
I did 10 years at the Quiksilver PRO working for Surfing Queensland I remember one year in 2006 Snapper was just Pumping 3-6ft so they decided to have a Lay-Day WTF. I surfed for 6 hours straight 6am till 12noon "stoked" but the next day and all that week the surf went very small, so what were the organisers thinking to have a Lay-Day when the surf was Pumping f### knows.
Quiksilver Trials for the Trials D-bar 2005
Spot on DW. Felipe is on another level, though Stu Kennedy is also surfing out of his skin. "Wizards of the water" (great surf movie)

Yes Leroy13 I forgot to mention Stu Kennedy he to is on fire, must be in the right mind set and on a mission.
It would be great to see Stu Kennedy and Felipe in the final.
I have a pirated copy of Wizards of the Water on VHS from like 1981.
Got to agree with Downwinder. I spent last Friday through until yesterday (before heading back to Sydney) out at Snapper (freesurf sessions), Rainbow, and Greenmount on the SUP and it was going off. Some seriously big sets were coming through.
I'm shattered after 4 days of intense SUPing out there.
Kennedy was on fire..bottom turns into the vertical were magic...good to see new blood.
Would love to see him go all the way. Agree with the other comments Toledo is another to watch…he must make Brazil proud I would love him to win a world title.
Parko? I just can't see him doing another.
Has been a pretty good event so far…hopefully that swell stays for tomorrow to finish it off for the guys.
Also..the girls have taken it up a level and are so good to watch compared to just a few years back.
WILKO…..fantastic effort.
Maybe this year he will stop being a bit of a lad and get serious.
Kennedy…didn't win but must be #1 for emerging talent.
