This happened to me on my trip to the Goldy the other week , Flu out of Gizze on the last plane on the friday night had to stay in Auckland for the night 3am start for flight to the Goldie .Before leaving I booked a rental car for Auckland (easyer with boards & gear) and the goldy with the same company.Got to Auckland find theres been an earth quake in Japan pick up the car no problems . Up early the next morning on the plane cross the ditch all good ,go to pick up the car Coolangatta airport (Sorry sir we havn't got any cars ,but I booked a month ago comfirmation no etc , no sir no cars , so what do I do now can you get me one from another Company ? No sir company policy says we are not aloud to.)
So after acting a little bit unprofessional, I went to the next company ,got any cars? only a big one (heard that before I thinks ) $900 later off we go .
Has this happened to any one else does it happen often ?

I regularly reserve cars on line with the rental companies from Cooly airport and the only issue I have ever had is receiving an upgrade which is not an issue.

The keys are waiting on the desk and off I go.

I drop the cars off at Brisbane Airport to fly International. When I get back I go back to the desk and the same thing has always happened. Pick up keys and drive home. Just reserve the cars online and off you go. My wife got back from OS on Saturday, she did the same with no problems either.

Cheaper than a train, bus etc and you get the best car park at the airport.

CMC, check the longstay independent carparks near the brissie airport... I left my car there 2 weeks at xmas under cover and it was cheaper than the bus, train or even a rental... we didnt have to wait as we rang the shuttle while waiting at the caroussel. neat service we thought.

Thanks mate, I checked these. My trips are for work, usually 3 or 4 days so the carparking option becomes more expensive.

The rental usually costs me about $60 each way including fuel.
