Hi, My SUPs were stolen off the roof of my car this morning from the front of my home in Byron Bay. One is a 14' DC, custom made, (see photo) blue bottom, orange deck with a beautiful spray white swirl on the nose. The other board was a Starboard 12'6 Carbon AllStar used in Peru in the ISA Comp so it has comp stickers on it (probably the thieves will remove to resell!). The custom DC is so distinct. I am asking people to look out for it and DO NOT BUY IT if you see it for sale. We, the SUP community, need to join together to catch these people so that they don't do it again. So that they realise that it is not cool to take precious loved items from people. Thank you for your support in this. Esther
Let's hope they turn up for sale very soon so someone can alert the police and you to get them back quickly with no damage to them
Lets hope they turn up. cash converters, 2nd hand-dealers especially back here on the Gold Coast
Will keep our eyes peeled
Not very good news at all.
Will keep an eye out around Noosa, not too many boards like that around up here.
I have just spent a week camped at Byron and the Camping Ground manager warned me about leaving my boards unattended. He says that they are losing a couple of boards week out of the camp ground. Maybe some organised group is in town.
Good luck for a quick return.

how sad is that....WTF are the cops doing at byron if boards are going every week.
they should try more patrols around carparks speaking with the public getting info and showing their presence
instead of catching people doing 8ks over the speed limit and eating Mac's.
i have been looking at this butnow going to order one this week..

Sorry to be the bearer of bad thoughts.
If its organised, considering the boards being stolen from the camping grounds, then you may have to look further afield and wait a few months.
When working as a tradie, a few years back, I had my trailer full of tools knocked off on Xmas eve, they took the everything I owned and the ute as well.
At the time I went to every 2nd shop and searched the papers for weeks, no luck and a waste of time, they were gone for good
The police informed me that if its organised they generally stockpile the goods and send them interstate in a pantec truck.
May be the same scenario for the boards that are going missing so, they could end up anywhere interstate at any 2nd hand dealer or shop.
On a lighter note..... I hope that you are soon reunited with your boards.
Working hard to save for a board and then having some low life knock it off is shattering, best of luck in getting your boards back.
Wahoo that's a nightmare. I left yesterday for the sunshine coast and passed in front of your home at 9.45 am and noticed both boards on your roof. I even said to Florence "I didn't know she got herself a starboard". And of course you can't miss Barb's ex board...
I have been leaving my boards on my roof in byron all day long for years not even thinking about it. I might have to change my ways now...
Hopefully will see them. Any particularity on the starboard?
Sad to hear of that but there are opportunistic people everywhere...I use Kanulock tie downs whenever I leave boards on the car roof overnight or when they're away from my sight during the day.
Do you have the serial numbers of the boards? I take photos and write down serial numbers of all my boards.
