I got a chance to paddle the new Starboard Race 14' x 25" thanks to Scott Penwarne and the demo truck now doing the rounds of the east coast. I was a little sceptical, no wait, make that a LOT sceptical when I read the pre-release hype about this board. A race board that can do everything? Yeah right, Svein, pull the other one, it plays Jingle Bells. But in paddling this board, I have to admit, it is pretty special. Check out the video (thanks to Kirsty Hunt for her excellent camerawork)

I caught some small, clean waves with that same model and loved it! My 12'6 x 25.5'' is almost arriving and will be available for demo in Portugal
