Down winders this weekend?
Looking good both days.
I wouldn't mind doing a 8km run from Mooloolaba to Mudjimba, Saturday arvo if the wind is SSE as forecast.
And Sunday maybe a Point Cartwright to Maroochydore if wind is SE.
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers,
Ken.

Thumbs Up

I did the Point Cartwright to Mudjimba run this arvo, thanks to my lovely wife for the transport.
The wind had swung more off shore at the time I left. It was supposed to be SSE but was more SSW.
The ocean was a bit messy with SE swell, building quite quickly too, just quietly.
The wind runners were more S - SSW.
Still I got some good runners. About half way I tore my LH Lat muscle while bracing, in an attempt not to fall in.
I'd say it's a grade 2 tear. Very painful! I could really only paddle on the right after that, only very lightly when I had to on the left.
Like a one legged duck!
Thankfully with the wind being SSW, that worked ok. So I limped the rest of the way still getting some of the runners.
I need a new body, this old thing is too unreliable now!
Maybe I should learn to warm up and stretch more!

Looking good for a Pt Cartwright - Maroochydore run tomorrow, although I won't be able to go now unfortunately.
Should the wind be SE as forecast, that will mean runners and swell are aligned, perfect.

BTW, Liking how the new Glide is going on the D/winders.

Cheers,
Ken.
