So I decided to store Jimmy in a different way so I could avoid car door bumps and general accidental damage but don't know if it will be ok out of the bag?
Does anyone store their Sup like this with no bag, does it cause pressure marks or dents?
I have been hanging my race boards like this for 4 years or so without a board bag. I use lifting slings which are about 1.5" wide and I have never seen any pressure marks or dents.
Hi Dave,
Suggest getting rid of the ladder quiver and hang it on the wall
Cheers
Eski
The ladder makes a great Submarine Sup.

Great thanks!

Yes they really help you CLIMB into the big sets but tend to HANG UP a bit in steeper sections...
I've used Sea To Summit Aquaslings to hang a Naish Mana (GS) and Sunova Speeed, both in and out of bags, and I've never had any marks or indentations. Probably very similar to your solution, mind you mine are not 14' downwinder/race boards, but still...can't see there being any issues.
Living in an apartment causes a few storage issues, but with a bit of jerry-rigged creativity and a lot of Body Corporate Committee lobbying, got it sorted on a single parking space with no walls - it works!

Good set up and love the tool box!

It's my poor excuse for a Man Cave...no garage of my own so a storage box on wheels (locked to the wall, with the SUP locked to the box) has to do!
You have a Great Wall there Dave ..go racks ....this is one side of my man cave ...
I would think that's a shop but shops stand SUPs on there end.

What a great set up!!! Yellow one side balsa on the other with a spot for something black??? Not enough room in the garage but one day I hope to have a man cave like yours Tardy!
yours looks pretty tidy and safe ,and great padded straps Dave ..and great ladder collection ...
the dark green thing is my americana muscle car .nice old thing ..its always thirsty.
i would need a very high shed warwickl to stand those 14's on their tail ,but yes ,a good thought for my short sup s
i might get more in ,

Dave when you pull the board up does it go up evenly ? I'm thinking of similar for new windsurf one design - about 15 kgs

Yep it's two ropes one for each end and easy to even up, says it holds 40kg.

What did you use to make that rack mate?
Looks like angle brackets with timber attached? I want to do similar. I have a setup similar but your wall is my floor. I used houst studs and broom handles with a bucket load of pool noodle.
I want to try get them on the wall
i used steel book shelf brackets .they hold heavy books up so why not 10 kg SUPS ,
I USED 100 -120 ml pieces of wood and cut pieces of carpet and just dropped a bit of roof silicone ,to hold the carpet
on ,dam sight cheaper than glue 15$ a tube done the lot ,once you find your wall stud measure up ,cord less drill
screw them all in and all done in lees than a hour .
the 14's i use heavier duty brackets ..4-6$ each .get the painted ones ,
i used stainless screws just in case salt got on them ,and waked a few in the wood 100ml pieces as well ,made it more secure .
you need 2 different size screw .
if you took the fins out you could have them closer

Your setup looks good Tardy,
I'm trying to design a free standing unit to work in a similar manner.
Cheers.you might want to build a 4"x2" frame .shouldn't be to hard .woods the way to go .
if you have a wall that you own ,half the works done ..
