Be great to get a review of this board. I see it is fairly narrow at 25". Could be something to consider in the future!
Nice flat rocker line for the nosey stuff......probably too narrow for the larger size enthusiasts.......didn't notice the volume?
Before it sounds like I think I know too much, it might be time to give shaping a go? I have a shed full of old mals, loggers and a comp longboard. All are superb shapes that I know work. Take the best of the best and see what I can come up with?
With a bit of assistance from a local shaper and glasser, it would at least be rideable. Even have a cool decal ready to go. Gotta start somewhere?
Another project for the list! Might as well start the research phase!
Recon Mission No 1: already found some blanks and a shaping machine.
Hopefully haven't bitten off more than I can chew!!!
So, I saw this thread last year and thought, "Yep, that's what I'm doing next".
Tully has shaped some great boards for friends and family, so I was confident in getting a quality product.
Just getting in to a bit of nose riding and struggling a bit on narrow low volume boards, I thought it was time to fun it up in time for winter......
My bro bought it up on Saturday, and even though the conditions were atrocious I took it out anyway. Nil by waves but the stability and glide were spot on.
Sunday morning was a bit better with no wind, but a huge full tide and some steep peaky shore breaks. Not really ideal long board territory but managed the steep drops surprisingly well. The big single controlled the rate of descent and the quite sharp rails back on the tail steered me out of the sh1t with ease.
I will report back after big bad debbie buggers off, and the ocean doesn't look quite as angry. Really looking forward to this beauty on a clean wave....
