Fun session Monday.
OK - not the Vaz brothers or life threatening surf - but I had serious FUN
(And I didn't get vertical Tardy... )
Me: 6'3" 92kg
Board: 8'7" Flow 121 Litres
Music: Pendulum - Through the Loop - (Gene Wilder sampled from Willy Wonka - RIP)
Camera: Mouth mounted GoPro Session (makes waves look small...)

I love those sessions when it clean and no one else out - you can be as greedy as you want and get all the waves.
Looks like you got plenty! Pretty sectiony looking wave to.

Nice clean conditions and no crowd... sweet!

Always like looking down at a Sunova.... very organic.

Nice looking waves and day
The music sounds as if Willy Wonker started making ecstasy instead on lollies and chocolate

Ha...nice one Jason .its a racer wave ...but had some lips there waiting .you did do my other favourite move the horizontal .
jerry Lopez made a carrer out of style ..
keep em coming .
the music reminded me of a play station game .

Yes! I have only had it out twice with smaller waves. I was surprised at how different it felt compared to the 8'10". Exactly what I was hoping for. But the Flow is still the go-to board if the waves have any fun in them.

I still prefer the Flow to the Speeed if the waves have enough size for some turns.

You know, I caught 30 waves that session and I kept trying to get more speed in the bottom turn to get up more vertical, but never really did... I still think the GoPro makes it look more sedate than it really was. There's always next time...

I still reckon that's one of the best bits in any movie when Gene Wilder (WW) went into that psycho rant as they went down the tunnel. Not exactly expected in a kids movie.

Thanks for your comments surfingboye, Supmaori and STC - it really was a fun session and I could not believe how long I had it to myself (or just a couple of others).

Its hard to do in smaller waves ...you just have to get the speed up so when you smack the lip you have enough speed to come back off .
but looked like awesome day ..30 waves is a good count . ..i have a mate that flat water paddles with me hes got a 11' glide ,also ex surfer ..I'm trying to get buy a surf SUP ,he said nah I'm going to buy a mal...surfboard .in three weeks time ...won't .he be sorry ....as he hasn't surfed in 6-7 years ,
A mal will cost him $ 1200.i know what I'd rather have .

Maybe he is a closet surf snob... I actually had a guy on a mal smile at me on Monday. You should give him a go of yours and it may convert him. Although it is hard to see in the vid, sometimes I got the board up against the lip or the breaking wave and came back down and it felt pretty good - but the board wasn't vertical...

Well, very hard with a 8'7" anyways... Why do you think some of us love sub-7' boards in small waves? :-)

I can't imagine a 7' board (let alone sub-7')! What's the Raptor like? (I am scared to ask about your dog's tongue )

Only had one season..but it's fast and loose ..and feels short ..like a surfboard ..you don't need much of a wave to turn it sharp and does a 180 turn without thinking ..
I'll let you know in two weeks ...after I get use to it .....but a great add to the quiver ..so far .I got the 128 litre ..one .being 95 kgs .
I'm not to sure if I would take it out in 6 foot ..its definitely great for small waves ..

naish is putting out some cheaper 7.0 this year similar to GS construction ..

so far I like it .

In the right waves I can bottom turn top turn my 9"1' Allwave, and it may not generate a great deal of speed, but you can pump it down the line too! And i'm 90kgs

Had another great session today. A few bigger waves too. Nearly took a blow with a Flow to my head and managed to destroy my paddle... No GoPro so I guess it didn't happen...
