Got the day off Friday and was planning on making a day of it.

The wind and tides are a bit tricky tomorrow and don't want to wake up super early. So I'm thinking a high tide surf that may coincide with a S/W wind. But who knows.

I think there's a bit of swell around - last time I looked it was around the 3m mark, the destinations I'm thinking about are a two hour drive - so off the top of my head both these places offer good W S/W wind protection:

West Coast: Lorne
East Coast: Eagles Nest - Inverloch

Any other suggestions?

No waves on Phillip Island unless your a local. Maybe catbay or left point.

Swells plenty big down this way, tide around two, wind swinging sometime after midday. West Coast is your oyster, anywhere from Lonny to Lorne. Enjoy you lucky bugga.
