what size length/width/volume do you reckon
cheers
so many variables to take into account. The absolute best advice I can give you is to get friendly with your local shop and demo as many boards as possible. The rule with volume is that 1 litre = 1 kilo generally speaking although various board manufacturers tend to measure volume slightly differently, IMO I reckon when I was sailboarding Naish stuff always felt small for the volume they quoted, so dont be too hung up on volume. I have ballooned out to 115kg at one stage but could still paddle a 7'10 shorty (not much fun but could still do it). Now Im down to a svelte 90kg I am pretty happy on my 9'5 Starboard Wide Point.
So demo boards and let what feels comfortable be your guide.
Hi Bolgo,
A lot depends on the type of waves you want to ride. If you're after something for mushy crappy Perth metro conditions, then an Allwave will tick most of your boxes. If you want to charge larger or more decent waves, have a look at either the Surftech Channel Islands boards, Hobie Colin McPhillip Ultimate or the new Fanatic ProWave Carbon/Innegra.
We also have access to a much broader range of Surtechs and we also stock Coreban surf boards like Fusion and Performer. Lots to choose from.
Drop in for a sticky.
