Every now and then the big guy up stairs just hands you one. Lol.
Great looking board.
Out of curiosity how's the spx going?

SPX 8'7 ,is ok ,I wish I had of gone the next size up ,8.7 there isn't a lot of board ,where i miss out is on getting the 8,7 is, it narrows down the paddle speed quite a lot and me being 100 kgs with a full wetsuit at the mo,it takes a bit to get it up and going
but summer is coming and wetsuits is out the door ,I have found I have had to put bigger fins on compared to my other boards
as its that bloody loose it is hard to paddle straight ,I'm actually using large twin fins and medium rears ,it hasn't really effected the looseness at all ,its made it a bit more stabile to paddle and not so twitchy ,it really is a full performance board for me and am not getting any younger ,but totally enjoy it on clean days ,i love it some days then other days it tires me out ,it feels more like a 8,5 .
I am not really a fan of the extra volume added at times ...as it feels corky ,i don't mind a sinking board ,as to me it feels more stabile as the water holds it down and washes over rather than hitting it and rocking it around ,but I under stand the concept for pro level ,getting on the waves easier and getting out quicker ,once on a wave you don't notice the extra volume and it does pop out of white wash so easy compared to my lower volume boards ,so plus's and minuses really ,still a great board ,its just me getting old ..
hows your 8'8 SP going ?

Mate like you said, summer is coming and you can ditch the wet suit. Then you can really put it through it's paces. Is it looser than the Acid or Insane?
As far as my SP25 I love it. I've put some kgs back on over winter now 95 and it still goes fantastic.
I've been riding it has a thruster after jumping on the generation web site and putting the question direct to Sean Pointer in relation to quad or thruster for my 8'8. His suggestion was thruster.
On bigger waves I've been using the Infinity Blurr V2. Which no doubt I could drop a size.
If you're ever down the south coast of NSW drop me a line and you can try my two board's.

Thanks for the offer , the acid feels like a Plank compared to the 8'7 SPX , had the 8'7 out today in on shore , sure was a work out but done some madd turns which will keep me coming back for more ,

Thanks Rick ,I'm shorts and long sleeve rubber vest now ,so vids are coming soon ,

still big winter swell here ,so long boards are the go ,some waves are just hang on and down the line

Because SUPs are longer than my prone surfing brothers boards ,I cream it on the big days ,most of them can not catch them
way out the back ,I am looked upon as a bit crazy ,

SUPs surely are amazing in big swell ,,,,,not the 8'7

8'10 ,9'11 insane 9,1 acid too,

Hey Tardy,
I don't know much about fins, but I had a play around one day and this set up stiffened my board . To be honest it caught every wave and sat up high in the small to medium waves I was riding.
