Hi all. nice to see a good longboarding section.
now a Melbournian EX Morninton peninsula Rye, got into LB when i was 15, fell in love with the high line glide and nose ride. did compete in my younger days in Maladiction but given that away now i'm 35+.
I have mainly rode 8 footers and 9,1s. recently traded my 9,1 for a performance 8 footer that's 3 thick. really enjoy it as you can still nose ride and surf whatever waves are on offer, without losing paddling power.
my old sticks and current sticks! blue trigger gone for the 510 and imperial traded for new 8 footer. the imperial was a great board but have to say enjoying the new trigger stick alot. from what i've found if drop down to 8 - 8/6 and keep some thickness they perform very well and can still be nose ridden.
Welcome to the forum mate, those last 2 boards make for a very versatile quiver. Did ya do the artwork yourself, looks pretty cool
Greetings VLB....Trigger..an iconic Vocco label ..nice artwork as well
But that grass needs some serious Lurve.

Mollymook runs a charity classic in August each year. It's a two day event and run longboard over 9 ft open and age, 8ft open , women's , juniors and old mal. As with all local surf comps you surf what's thrown up with two options in the area.
Yeah I had a great time living in Apollo Bay in the mid 90's surfing between Johanna & Lorne. Some of the best barrels of my life was a small head high day at Johanna, epic bank in the middle of the beach with just 2 other friends
