Sounds like my kind of heaven. Not had ad event surf since last Friday sadly. In truth I have not even really even been to the beach - spent far too much time in Sydney with work. Looks like we have a decent swell on the way later in the week. Looks like a coastal run might be on the cards.

Here are a couple of shots from my coastal run the other day. Secret spot somewhere on the NSW coast I left home before 4am and was second in the water. A great reward for an early start Had a wonderful 3hr session then had two nice surfs on the way home at another great spot. Got to love those easterly swells and all day offshores in winter.

Nice pics Ted , been hitting it pretty early down here as well , school holidays so no kids to cart around and dark at knock off time .First light is just after 7 am great way to start the day .

Cracked out my new flash bomb booties this morning super comfy and great to get on and off , but so much for the drying in a flash they are still soaking wet tonight and sitting in front of the heat pump trying to get them dry for tomorrow morning , otherwise it's back into the old booties .

Nothing worse then a wet cold wetsuit or booties 1st thing in the morning .

made me smile that post.

Me I had the most perfect glassy and flat surf around. From yesterday's super fun conditions to today.... Wow. Had a great body bash after the sad paddle

Scored some good size waves this morning on the germ before my lack of paddle fitness caught up & I surrendered to the LB. Gotta surf at least every second day now, I'm making a pact with myself...except for when I move house in a few weeks

Under the knife in the morning Mick and not sure how long I'll be out for.
Had a pretty good run of late, as long as I'm ready for Indo in October I'll be happy.

All the best for the Op mate...I know your Lombok flights were effected by gaystar...are you still going to Lombok or are you going somewhere else? I'll be in Bali till the 7th of Oct if you opted for Bali & wanna grab a beer

I'm sure it'll be all good boys, but cheers for the goodwill nonetheless.

Mick, we're just doing Bali instead now, in on the 28th October, so have to take a raincheck on a brew. Undecided where we'll stay as yet, probably won't make the call till the week before. Leaning towards Sanur but I'll wait and see what the trades are doing.

NP mate...yeah winds can be shifty that time of year. Last year the Westerlies were late, lots of NE'ers through Dec & Canngu was the place to be. Otherwise Sanur is a great jump of point, especially with the toll road option these days

The big southerly is yet to even register a blip on the horizon at this stage. Even the Eden buoy is showing nothing but a touch of short period swell from the east and theoretically that will be the first place to start to see the swell. Winds are up and its very cold outside with snow in the blue hills (mountains what a joke)

Eden buoy is registering 17.5 second period now. It's going to get very very big as it rolls up the coast. Let's hope it has some quality

Surfed some fun 3 footers this evening with a howling offshore all by myself. Gold. I would have thought I would have run into a few bods but maybe they were all up at the Catho for Friday arvo lingerie bar service

A place not too.far away....was pumping. The 7'5 single fin did its job better than expected. Does not like a late sucky take off....so rider fault there for not being in position and not paddling hard enough

No chance to.turn today, but some days you don't need too...the single fin bottom turn and the high line it's takes is unbeatable, faster than any board I have owned, outruns the quad qith ease...sorry if I'm dribbling, I'm just way excited.

Was not all peachy, had my arse handed to me plenty of times.

Looking forward to a few more surfs to get more off an idea on the new one. But it was very easy to ride in some chunky stuff. Pffft pumping for speed, take a step.forward and whoa.

Nice Stick Chrispy...some more photos wold be great

I hear ya on getting your asre handed to you...surfed a local her yesterday, picked of 6-7 waves over an hour made the drops etc, but last one closed out so hard, I for the first time in a long time thought I was in real trouble. was bounced along the bottom and held down for a loooooooooooooog time....got out after that...took it as a warning shot.

Looks nice Chrispy. You'll be channelling Terry Fitzs style with spreed runs and soul arches all over the Gold Coast.

Dare we ask what fin you're running?
