oYo, do reckon I could simply put a fresh sheet of glass over the plug it dies it need to be pulled and and reset properly?
Cheers
You can & I do that with small wave funboards. Depends on how much you care about the board & possible loss of a complete finset. I'd fix it properly if it was one of my favourite boards for good or bigger waves.
This happened to 3 of 5 fin boxes I had on a Lost carbon wrap board with FCS II fins. I tried fresh sheet of glass and even solarez when lazy - but it just gave way a few surfs later. Or it will crack when inserting and removing fins. Then will let water inside.
You need to reset the fin box. I switched to futures after this issue.
Dunno what board that is but looks like there was limited glass over fin plug location to start with, I have had some success in just a resin mix and scrape with a plastic card, to fill in the hairlines but this will only give you a bit off time sometimes it lasts for ages though as the cloth fracturing around fin boxes particularly the fcs 2 is always going to happen...............
whenever you pop pop a plug out you need to hope the ding guy templates it properly to the opposite fin,,,,,when they router out the plug shape now the template is quite sloppy and it's extremely hard to align them separately ........
