I yesterday bought a nice set of 2and hand foil Freek sail 2022 (5.2) and 2023 (5.6 and (4.8).
Last years i used my horue tiny 105 ltr foil board combined with gun seal wave sails (5.0 and 5.7) , rigged with no loose leach for my foilstyle foiling with a 400 rdm gun mast at my local lake.

I wanted to get a better low end and more control, therefore i switched from the 4 batten gun wave to the dedicated Severne foil freeks.

I still have my 400 and 430 gun 100 procent rdm masts, because Severne needs also is constant curve. But my all my gun seal sails use short 400 rdm masts, witch is lighter than the 430 rdm mast described in the Severne foil sails.

Unfortunately it is freezing here in the Netherlands, but can I (73 kg) use on the Severne foil Freek as well my 400 rdm mast ?

Greeting from Bart from the Netherlands

Of course you can, the question is how well will they sail? The good news is that with foiling you don't load the sail as much and so the mast curve match isn't as critical. I would try it and you'll probably find it's fine. It will almost certainly pump better, which is good.

Does a light weight shorter mast pumps better than a longer heavier mast in a foil sail?

I assume you mean that you are using a shorter mast with a longer extension, if so then yes, I believe that will pump easier. But that same flexibility can cause the mast to bend and the sail overpower. That happens less in foiling so I say again, try it before buying a new mast.
