Looking for advice on the Wizard V4 114L using Sabfoil 950 and 940 Wings. I weigh 73kg and having difficulty uphauling and jibing. I am wondering what are the optimal positions others have found for sail and foil on this rig. I have mostly been riding with the sail mast all the way forward and foil all the way back. My other board is a 120L JP Hydrofoil and I can easily uphaul and make most of my jibes.

Bring the sail back to half way would be a better starting point Uphall will be easier there
I don't use that foil so can't say where to put it but more forwards will help gybes maybe start In the middle and work from there
It will feel wrong at first because you are not used to it but the 2 extremes you are using now is not helping imo

Agree with seaanchor foil needs to be more forward midway maybe a bit much and yes sail back at least midway when I was riding the 114 ran the sail almost all the way back front footstraps all the way forward and in the outboard position. This setup will make the ride more front footed some don't like that but just makes sense to me.

I'm 64kg, 5'8". Run my sail almost all the way back, and foil mast all the way back in the tracks.
Forward outboard foot strap position
Don't know about your wings, I'm running the 730pfi. The nose is prone to sinking during uphaul. As soon as the sail is up, I get both feet behind the mast quickly.

fwiw, I have a small short board and I've just gotten used to uphauling with both feet behind the sail mast and over the float of the board. Just remember to pull the sail over the mast base instead of towards you as it comes up. Since it's usually a smaller sail, as it comes up I'm mostly uphauling with one hand.

My board doesn't have any pad or non-skid in front of the mast so even if I wanted to straddle the mast base, it's not a good idea.

I'm 85kg and sail a Predator 110. The Predator is 190cm, the Wizard 114 is 178cm. I set my sail mast in the centre of the track, footstraps are 3/4 forward and my foil mast 5cm forward. The extra length of the Predator allows me to uphaul in swell with one foot in front of the mast and other behind the front footstraps. It's a dance but doable.

Thanks for all the feedback! I have been reluctant to making these changes as you recommend, because of advice I had been given to use a 41" to 44" spread between the sail mast base center and the front screw head on the deep tuttle mount. This setup has worked well for me on my JP and I had thought it should work as well on the Wizard. Setting them as you suggest would greatly decrease that distance. However that is not working on this board so I am going to try as you all suggest.

I use my jp mast to foil screw 42.5 inches apart that doesn't work for me on my 114
It's closer although I haven't measured it
Probably because it's a track so won't translate

Outside of uphauling what is the issue you have having with riding versus the JP, not able to maintain flight during gybes, too much breaching etc.

Either way have you modified your uphaul technique? I would start there

If that distance worked well on the JP, I can understand why you want to keep it similar, but this would only apply if your front foot is riding in the same place ie (how many inches aft of you universal). And I guess you also need to factor in any additional board weight forward of foil mast as that will be offsetting your lift.

I have the wizard 114 v4. My foil front wing is pretty much directly in center of my front and rear foot straps. I would start there. My mast(sail) will move around a bit . I will move it aft with larger sails..forward with smaller sails. Say 1/4 way back to 3/4 forward. But never at the extreme limit on The tracks. Then it's a matter of fine tunning .if I will be a bit on the full powered side with sail I will move forward a cm or two.if it is on lighter side I move it back a cm or two.
