Hi ! The other ay I managed to learn the beachstart. I still have to help me with one foot to kick the board while steering it by apllying mast foot pressure but although I would appreciate any advice on steering the board with the mast, my main doubt is another one. It's regarding something that Gollito Estredo makes while beachstarting and that I've never seen on another video, and I've seen many tutorials. My amateur eyes and ears see and hear in the beach and on youtube, that you first steer the board a little bit downwind so that it isn't pointing too much upwind, because if you step on the board while it's pointing upwind you will stall and fall down. So, first you steer the board and then when it is pointing a little bit downwind, you raise up your hands like throwing the boom forward while puting your back foot on the board like jumping. I know a lot of peaople forst put the backfoot on the board, bring it a little bit back and then pull up the sail to get up, but that's what for the moment is working for me. So, here is the main point: I see Gollito Estredo jumping to the board whitout having steered it, in fact you can see the board pointing upwind, and while he is stepping on to the board, puting his backfoot on the back of the board, you see the point bearing away... for me that's crazy because he steers the board while jumping onto it. You can see his beachstart on the minute 2:26 aprox, at this video. Any comments and tips or guesses will be very much appreciated
When you put your back foot on the middle of the board at the back you can then use the back foot as a pivot point for the board to swivel around under. That what he did in the video.
you can practice it at the beach with out launching. Just put your back foot on the middle of the board (in front of the back straps) then its a combination of sheeting in and pulling the rear of the board towards you with your back foot. Its not till your front foot is on the board that the pivot will stop happening as easily.
as you get better it will all become second nature.

Congrats mate
When you first learn a move, you repeat it under exact conditions until you begin to get them (5-10% success rate, set conditions). In the early stages, you can only do them under those exact conditions. After 1000's of repetitions, you will begin to "master" the move and can do them in any condition (95% success rate, all conditions), and under different variations, including correcting a mistake mid-way through the move (which would cause you to fall off with less experience). So end of the day, it doesn't matter which way you do it, as long as you are nailing them.
I did not really understand your question but if your using this guy as a mentor your doomed, he obviously defies physics , he cant fall in, never, he has some black magic stuff going on that us normal people don't have.
Pointed slightly downwind. Back foot first on the center line of the board, front foot QUICKLY up near the mast. Shallow water is best, but the fin may get in the way. Deeper water for a longer fin makes the first step more difficult to get to the center line and a bit forward of the straps. Easier to lean with a small fin in shallow water.
Main thing is when back foot is on the board , no downward pressure.
When stepping up with front foot, lots of weight down on the boom so you do not weight the rear with your foot too much
One additional comment: When stepping up on the board - DON'T pull on the boom. It's a big step to the center of the board, but I have seen many beginners trying to use the boom to help pull them up, but what it does is pull the nose of the board into the wind, which guarantees falling backward. However, pulling on the boom is possible if the board is pointed off the wind around 120 degrees or more - doable for more advanced sailors.
Well, my first thought was: He is doing it because he is Gollito and multiple world champion in freestyle ??. My tip: never touch the board when Beachstarting. Learn how to stear the board with the rigg. Do some 360s turn the wind into the wind and off the wind. Once you have mastered your beachstart and move onto the waterstart you will see the benefits. Number two: don't step on to the board, have the rigg pull you up with straight arms. That is the key to a successful waterstart....
