This is my first post. It could really fit in a few different categories, but figured I would put it here. I have an annoying dilemma: I both foil and windsurf and I'm looking at a pretty bad overlap of sails, ranging from 6.6 to 8.4, if I buy both fin and foil sails. I have an 8.0 FG2 already. I was planning to run a few sizes of Severne Moto's with my iSonic 73 and I was really hoping for some input from people that may have tried those sails for foiling. Could a Moto work well for foiling also? I know it's light, two camber, but would it be too backhanded in practice?

It should be good. I'm on patrik GT3 and they fin & foil really well. Shorter boom and cam stability. But the GT3 Foil sail are better but I've not enjoyed foil sails on the fin board. A foil sail with shorter boom will likely feel better but motos look good and unless you're competing should be fine.

Thanks for the input. I just looked up the boom length and the Moto 7.2 is actually 15 cm shorter than the similar size in the Foil Glide 2, but probably mostly due to the cut.
I think I'm going to try that size out first. Will be doing some winter sailing on the iSonic and it'll give me an idea how that sail should work out on the foil. Any sense what the wind range would be on a 7.2 Moto? I'm only 72 KG right now, but have no problem sailing the FG2 8.0 up to about 18 knots
