Is there any wave spots in oz that would be considered a starboard tack jumping spot.
Mirror of coronation beach.
When wind direction is right I think Cat Bay on Phillip Is. in Vic might fit that bill, but without the daily seabreezes for 6 months, warm water, warm weather .........
Transit Reef at Rottnest Island in an easterly? I used to look longingly at it but was never brave enough to try. Maybe if I had a mate with a tinny. I've never seen anyone out there windsurfing, probably for several other reasons.
We used to ride Windsurfer stock boards out at Transits in the 80s. The LT would be a good vehicle after all it is the modern sailing version of a log nose rider. I think it would be more of waveriding set up and strapless not sure about the mirror of Coronation, having said that never sailed at Corro. I do believe Coronation is a good longboard traditional mal wave too.
Flat Rock, Ballina NSW ?
Flat rocks not flat in the inside and it's only a ahort run to the reef unfortunately.
But it's a great spot for sure.
My travel guide suggests just north of Lennox heads at the reef and lagoon but it seems dodge to me and every seems to go further north at main beach
All the North coast Tasmania spots in an Easterly.(Stanley is the windiest though Marrawah can be even stronger. I would assume Hobart beaches in a Westerly. The Easterly can be pretty regular in summer.
The water is maybe one or two degrees cooler.
Little Makaha on northern side of Long Reef. Needs decent swell.
Flat on inside. Not as good for jumping but if swell has east aspect the waves break over outer reefs and come in at a crazy angle.
Holds massive southerly swell or great in ENE swell (less common).
