Tim Pumpa did a max speed of 51.49knts at Port Parham in SA, great effort! considering he's probably the only kiter that speed sails in OZ(as far as i know) and do it here in SA is even better

Well done Tim, it's really great to see those sorts of speeds being possible on our local spots.

Tim's not the only one - Rob's 48.36 top speed (same time, same place) also deserves a mention:

Thanks guys, we had some really nice wind for a change and could finally post a speed over 50 which is good. The run was super short but could just get up to speed and stop before you got ya brains rattled out over the chop.
I have learnt alot from going to Luderitz and watching the top guys run, hopefully it pays off so one day I can join the 50 knot club and knock off the boat.

saw your run well on YouTube Tim..hit them 50's! it's always the euro's that are hitting it besides Rob
