Has anyone successfully transferred GW-60 session data to an Ipad for temporary storage (and for later transfer to a PC)?
I'm going on a windsurfing trip for a week and plan to only take an Ipad with me. I was hoping to save daily session data on the Ipad, then clear the log and repeat. Will the Ipad see the GW-60 as a storage and let me access the data files? (GPS/distance/Speed)
Thx

There is a method with the GW60 to make it look like a storage device. I can use it that way with Linux.

As long as you can connect it via USB. from the manual.

3.18
USB CLASS: Connection type
COM: Virtual COM PORT for Windows platform user.
UMS: USB Mass Storage for non-Windows platform user.
(Note: Set UMS before entering "MSC mode"on 3.14)
3.19
TO USB MSC: Connection by Mass Storage Class (MSC)
mode mainly for non-Windows platform user.
Tip: How to get GPS data in USB MSC mode
(1) Set"USB CLASS"option to"UMS"first.
(Note: Before setting, the USB charging cable MUST be
disconnected.)
?
(2) Connect to USB, and press ADJUST/ "TO USB
MSC"to enter USB MSC state.
(3) Find a new flash drive with a READ only file-
GPSLOG.SBP on your host PC.
(4) Remove USB cable to exit.

The driver on my PC no longer works so, as above, I connect the GW-60 as a USB device download, rename and delete the file on the watch. The GPSLOG.SBP file is re-created on the watch next session.

I seem to remember that it's a bit fiddly in that the watch has to be connected when TO USB MSC is selected.

Thank you both. I'll give this a try.

I've used one of these to download the file to a phone.

I bought a small Lightning to USB adaptor for a few bucks, and the GW60 connects great on my iPad. The only downside is that it only gives access to the .SBP file. Is there a way to access top speed list and other GPS goodies (like Google mapping file) right from the .SBP file via maybe a third party application?

Don't forget to rename the downloaded file on the Ipad so you don't overwrite it next download.
