Congratulations to the Bogan Speed Team, outright winners of the GPSTC in Australia in 2021, 42 points ahead of the Pinnaroos in second place and 90 points ahead of the Mandurah Mob in third place.
Commiserations to the Bogans on losing the outright lead in the international GPSTC on the last day of the year to share equal first place with the BeNeFun Speed Team, ahead of the Pinnaroos in third place.
In a very exciting finish the BeNeFun Speed team had 16 sailors on the (very cold) water on the 30th, putting in a sensational session with 13 sailors scoring over 38 knots for 2 sec, and posting very good scores for the team in 5 categories including best team distance of the month, second best team hour and third best team 2 sec and 5X10. BeNeFun improved their nm on the last day of the year to equal the Bogan speed team's yearly score with both teams finishing on 90 points ahead of the Pinnaroos with 135 points.
Congratulations to the Bogan Speed team and the BeNeFun Speed team, joint international winners of the GPSTC for 2021, in what continues to be a very exciting and competitive competition internationally.

Thanks Anita! I hadn't been watching the yearly results, but did see the fight for the month, go from Pinnas, most of the month, with a late run by the Bogans to overtake you, and now BeNeFun have taken the lot.
Congratulations Bogans!
Looks like and excellent all year round team effort.
And congratulations to the BeNeFun Speedteam for drawing the over-all International. A big last days effort!
Thanks guys for the kind words. I am very proud of the bogan speed team in winning back to back in Australia and equal 1st in the world / international. I wouldn't say it is a loss and it gives the bogan speed team for something to strive for in the future outright win for 2022.
Well done to the benefun team for the late charge in the coming days and the pinnaroos for a late charge too.
Hope for some good winds in 2022.
Cheers Carl aka captain bogan
From the other side of that great little pond BeNefun team thanx' the author for her kind words,
But more we want to thank everybody, Bogan team especially, for makin this a great competitive year.
Just the possibility of changin gpstc statistics on the last days of year got our team spirit vibratin and chat buzzin
From our side we're gonna keep pushin our limits and hope you'll push back to make comin year just as competitive
We wish everyone fair winds, all the best and a great year!
Standing ovation Bogans! Congrats Cpt. Carl, capos Sam, Daishy, Stash, Tricky, Hoppy, and all the other sailing bogans!
Huge thanks to GPSTC administrative crew. This community is your work. I predict your ongoing contribution to our sport will be the centre of a documentary one day.
Windsurfers are the best. GPSTC is the best. We are living our best lives.
2022 is a fresh leaderboard. Let's get sailing. May the wind ruffle your mullet. :D
Thanks guys!!!!
Just seeing everybody get so much out of this comp, makes the small amount of work the administrators do really worth while. And totally negates the very small amount of negative stuff we occasionally get back.
Windsurfers are an amazing crew, (especially speed sailors) always friendly and ready to help. While still competing fiercely.
Have fun guys/gals, go for it!
I am proud to be a Bogan was a great stoke to be part of the team, working on the other categories to keep the team score up was a great challenge. The freezing days, camping in the rain, sailing in the rain, packing up in rain all made for bonding & bloke time. The nice sunny days were bliss
The tussle with the others teams & the last minute charge from Be Ne Fun was impressive.
Thanks for the kind words. The Bogans Speed team are now aiming for 3 in a row! I am sure many teams will be out to break our run. so bring on the sailing 2022. Extra thanks to the whole GPSTC concept. It challenges me ever time I sail
Tricky Bogan

Cheers Wayne
