We had a light (17-18kn) SSW breeze not long ago to reacquaint ourselves with Harrington. Glenn came down on his Quad for a run and shot some footage on his gopro of us making the most of the light wind.
A nice 1klm run in a S-SSW. Not Sandy Point by a long shot, but probably the closest we will get to it in NSW that we are aware of so far. Should be some solid PBs when we next get a cracking southerly.
Thanks for the footage and editing Glenn
That's a great vid Glenn!!! Makes us southern neighbours even more keen to try as that is seriously flat water. I thought we got Canton flat but as AJ says that is Sandy Pt flat. Ill be there next time its happening and Adam gives me the call, looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah.... that's not Sandy Point flat. That is much flatter!!!
Seriously, that really is flatter than Sandy Point is most of the time. With that low sand spit and deep edge it reminds me of Sandy Point 20 years ago!
When you guys get 30-35 knots from the right direction, I fully expect to see some serious mid 40's numbers! (No pressure of course... )
Hey that's me with the Severne overdrive and The JP slalom and that's me trying to get going at the very end! Thanks for making this movie mate I had no record of that day. I even made the credits lol cheers fellas!
Great video , pity we didn't get the wind that everywhere else got !!!!
Byron has done a 41.99 there on one occasion , and 40.7 on another ,
And I have done 39.8 , it's a magic spot on the right day !!!!!
The speed run is only short , barely get 10 seconds , have to be fast to get up to speed
That is cool but it reminded me of Lake illawarra entrance before they stuffed it up by building rock walls everywhere which leaves me feeling a bit depressed but I do like Harrington. .
