My GT11 no longer shows fully charged battery after stopping charging, only shows about 1/3 charge. I suspect it is simply dying of old age. Is it possible to renew the battery?
I may well buy a GT31 to ensure reliability but would like to still use the GT11 as a backup.
Cells are dying mate, think yourself lucky warmer air helps them last longer if you were over here it would be dead saying that there is no wind anyway. lol
Evets, this came from Yoyo a while back

Sometimes the battery safety management causes hicups if it has had many short charges. Let it run down fully and try again.
"Batteries with fuel gauge (laptops) should be calibrated by applying a deliberate full discharge once every 30 charges. Running the pack down in the equipment does this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate and in some cases cut off the device prematurely. "
You could always contact Locosys and ask how much for a new battery pack if that doesn't work.
Yep, I'll go with that, complete discharge, then complete charge. Always first thing to try with any battery that's having problems.
With older style batteries the charge up should be done slowly.
