Hi Guys n gals,
I'm using a Garmin Vivoactive 3, and i have been using the Windsurfing by Georg_r app for a year or more, but now all of a sudden after a hard reset it doesnt give me my speed in anything but whole numbers, where it used to read as 30.25 knots etc. Does anyone know how to change the settings in my watch so i get more than just 2 digits?
This started happening to my Garmin Fenix 5 running TBWonders GPSTC apps about 2 mths ago. It doesn't appear to be a setting issue but a Garmin decision??? Apparently the full result to 2 decimal places can still be viewed if you download your results through the Garmin Connect app. I haven't tried this so can't confirm.
These are two different issues. Garmin have changed the way that results are displayed in the phone version of Garmin Connect. The display on the watch is unchanged.
It's a reflection on the the level of accuracy of the unit
No its not. The unit was displaying knots with decimal places after the whole number with no issue before, its only recently changed.

When i look at the session on my phone after ive downloaded it on the phone there is only whole numbers such as 30 knots etc, where as it used to say 30.50 knots.

As Tbwonder mentioned above, the information hasn't changed but Garmin in their wisdom has decided that when viewing your result on the phone app, results are rounded off to whole numbers. If you look at the results on your watch, it will actually show the numbers to 2 decimal places (at least on my watch). I have also uploaded the results to my desktop Garmin Connect app which is showing rsults to 3 decimal places....go figure?
