OK, isn't that old news?
They don't stand a chance though as they left the best speed strip in the world off their list. The only place where 50 knots has been cracked 3 times! Sssssshhhhh......

They would never come to Australia to sail sandy point cause they think we are at the bottom of the world.. I think if Bjorn Dunkerbeck did speedsail the pit he would get the time he has allways dreamed about..If some locals can crack the 50 knot mark at the pit then what could bjorn do??

amazing, someone that spends every waking minute on the net is 6 years behind! [}:)]

not many knew of burrum back then, but the place hasnt produced anything huge in the way of records. Pity it doesnt have lots of big consistent wind.

As for the challenge, makes you wonder why they never went to SP. Surely flights to aus arent that expensive?

They know about SP.

However, a record attempt at SP is logistically unrealistic for them.

bummer, it would make a lot of sense seeing so many records have tumbled there.

Yep, it only works for GPS timing. Video gates too hard to set up!

Originally Yellow Pages Endeavor used boat mounted video cameras to line up onshore transit points. Then with MI, they were the ones who gained approval for the Trimble Survey GPS system.

& the kiters are pulling high 48-50 knots regurlary over the ditch down under.

& the kiters are yet to get perfect conditions, hence Lynfield being very quite for a few years.

Maybe "(anders, antoine, bjorn and robby)" need a translated to understand the downunder speed lingo!
