I'm not an apple product user so please excuse my ignorance on the way they work.
I would normally take my laptop away with me on Hol's but as my wife has an iPad(3) I thought why bother I'll just use it to upload my track to GPSTC through KA72 Reader.
My Wife does have a SD Card reader which plugs in to the ipad but only seems to import vid's and pic's.
Can this be done on an iPAD and how? I cant find any accessable file structure or ways to upload files to the ipad and when I try to browse on KA72 all i can upload is pictures.
Sorry if the topics been done but a search brought up nothing.
Cheers and Happy New Year
David
Dave, had to laugh as I sit here trying to upload photos from notebook (real computer) to wife's iPad so she can print them or sum fink!
Apparently I have to download a "dropbox" & put them in there so the I(glorified phone)Pad can then read.......
Good luck
I've never seen anyone upload a track via an iPad. And I've got one, so I've tried it out too.
There is no way to access the file system on an iPad as far as I know.
I've got dropbox, but since there is not a dedicated iPad app for ka72, I don't think having that would help.
You can use an iPad to download a kml file from the overlay page and view it on google earth, provided you have the google earth app installed.
Dylan.
Thanks Dylan.
You've confirmed what I suspected. Looks like ill be taking my trusty laptop and leaving the rotten apple with wifey.
