5ATM is 50 metres deep!!! How badly do you fall off??? Are you windsurfing off the edge of a waterfall or something????
my canmore watch is 5atm too, had it for over a year, no issues.
took it to 3/4 meters
the locosys watch looks very similar, shouldn't be an issue

Sean, which canmore watch do you have? Where did you get it if you can recall and price.
Cheers Dave
I have the tw 102 and the tw 103
My best mate imports canmore locally, they were both around 200$ retail
they connect directly to IOS and have a bluetooth function for HR
Only drawback :
speed is in km/h
Unreal battery life though !!!!

Locosys is suggesting a RRP of the GW 60 of US$199 to $299 so AUS $278.60 to $418.60 my guess is it will be sold closer to the high end of that price range in Australia.
I've just had an email from Mark Taylor of Surfsail Australia.
Hi Mike I have placed an order for some GW60 for delivery late November. I am offering 20% discount off the RRP $369.99 incl GST for any pre orders, offer expires 30 November.

$295.99. That's a bargain.
Bargain if it does the job!? When will we find out? If it works then I'll get one for sure

Can't answer that at the moment, don't know just when the test units will become available, and I'm not sure how long the testing phase will take. Hopefully it won't be too long!
Buttons might actually work better than the -52's "touch" screen!
One would certainly hope so! Pretty crap buttons if they don't.
my hand's up for any GT31s being pensioned off
I have 2 GT31s ones only been used twice.
pm me if your interested
Hello Gents! Has anyone tried yet downloading on to a smartphone (gaxynote4). I could do it with the G31 by taking out the card and using a card adapter. It's just that this comes handy to me when l am away and don't want to take the laptop with me.

No one has had a chance to try it because the GW-60 is not yet available. It is due Late November at the earliest.
In theory, it might be possible as the data memory on the GW-60 is 'universal' data memory. (Quote: now the GW-60 is able to support USB mass storage class (USB flash driver) for non-Windows user) That means it shows up on any compatible device (all common computers) just like an SD card or usb flash drive does with you adapter to your smartphone. If you can plug a GW-60 onto your Smartphone, it should also recognise the data memory and allow you to copy across. At Minimum, you will probably need some sort of Micro USB adapter for the USB connector.

It's not so much the depth but the dynamic pressure of crashing into static water. At 40 knots, 20 m/sec the dynamic pressure is 1/2 rho V^2 = 200 kpa.
That's 2 atmospheres, equivalent to 20 metres water depth. A 50 knots crash is just over 3 atmospheres, still OK for a 5 atm watch . Anybody crashing at 50 knots has more to worry about than their watch.

Good one Andrew, it's a bit hard to see how they've waterproofed it though.
I think we'll have to look after that cable, may be hard to get another one.
cable with clamp looks very similar to the canmore one.
only issue I've ever had is oxydation of the 4 connectors at the back of the watch, nothing a good spray of wd 40 couldn't fix !

The contacts look a lot like the old Foretrex 201 we used in the old days. No real issues with that part of them.
I am sure Locosys will be able to supply replacement cables.
