Has anyone else had problems with their mini not being able to charge. Followed the instructions as per manual but nothing. The charging dock is permanent blue light.

Maybe just try another charging plate first. There are cheap.

I'll try it
My charger plate failed to charge my Mini but would still charge my phone!
I got a one of these & it works www.verbatim.com.au/accessories/mobile-accessories/wireless-chargers/wireless-charger-pad-10w-black.html
Just had mine on charger for 5 hours, blue light the whole time,
Did it recharge though?
I have never left it on overnight and never seen the charging plate go red either, but it has got to 93-94% charge and that is probably best not to exceed anyhow. Julien warned me not to leave it on the charger overnight just in case it gets too hot.
You can easily see the % charge in the interface screen on the home page. It seems to go 3 green when it is about 80% + That probably more than enough for almost any sessions.
- Charger's LED only shows whether a power transfer can (blue) or can't (red) take place. It has no idea about the battery.
- Every 5 minutes on the charging pad, Mini Motion should blink three times to show the battery level. If you want to know the level right now, press the button quickly once while the device sits on the pad.
- If you have one of the very first device like AusMoz, make sure to upgrade the firmware.
- I sent some questions to AusMoz to learn about this and maybe isolate the culprit. As usual, I'll replace it if needed.
- Do not leave chargers unattended, whatever they are. Do not leave a device on a charger post-charge, it isn't good for the longevity of the battery.
- 3 hours of charge is enough. It's charging slowly because it keeps the battery in good shape.
- The battery gauge is stupid and its scale changed with firmwares (please upgrade!), what matters is that devices yield 12-14-16h of lifetime on a full charge.
I use for 8-10hrs, then charge for 1hour. This gives me 100% on the phone percentage. Don't want to overcook the battery. Works for me.
I'm thinking that the battery check flashes would be better when it's turned off. So I know whether to charge for the next session or just hang it on the indicator stalk.
The charging plate/dock is faulty. Motion is now recharged but will monitor it for the next session.
All good for now
Hi all - trying to charge the mini
When I place on the charging pad (strap side down) the LED on the pad stays red. The LED on the device does not blink.
I turn upside down the LED on the PAD flashes blue. Turn back onto strap side and light goes red.
Charging pad issue?
cheers

As long as it is going Red it should be charging, leave on for 2 hours only and then remove
Do not leave on overnight,
Cheers

Red means it's NOT charging. It goes Blue if it is charging and the light flashes 3 times after a few seconds and again every 5 minutes.
Sounds like a Charging Pad issue. Have you tried another pad?

Sorry about that i should take more notice of the colours
My experience has been that it didn't like being charged till it went down to one green light only but after that it did. Otherwise it didn't turn to red when charged enough so, l have just disconnected it after three hours and when l checked it it had three blinking green lights. All's good now knowing all this.
Otherwise it didn't turn to red when charged enough
What turned to red, please?
One should see the blue (charging light) turn to red when fully charged.
That doesn't happen on my charger. The blue light is always still on when I take my mini off the charger, and the battery is fully charged when I check.
Yep, the charging pad has no knowledge of the battery being done charging. The only way to know if the Mini is fully charged is to check for the three flashing lights being green.
