Hi,

I have a GW-60 which I used for the first time in a while at the weekend and I can't remember how to down load the session.
I logged into KA72.com and connected the watch but its not being seen by my PC.
It hasn't been used on this particular PC before and I cant remember if I need to down load a driver/software to make it work.
I've tried cleaning the connections (which didn't look dirty anyway) I've also tried 2 different cables.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Yes , you have to download something. It's on their website .That's as much as I know. Someone here will tell you what to do shortly. I just kind of fluked it.

You will need to download the GW60 utility onto your pc, then open the utility and connect to watch to upload the data file from watch to pc. That file can be uploaded to ka72 from pc. The easiest place to find the utility download I think is on gps-speedsurfing.com, also more Info there on how it all works.

If any issues connecting the watch after you have the utility set up, it might be the cable, in the early days the watches died before the charging cable, these days the cable needs replacing more often than the watch

Not quite accurate Dezza. The util is the most convenient method for Windows.
However, you can put the GW60 into memory stick mode and browse/download your sessions.
From the manual
"3.18
USB CLASS: Connection type
COM: Virtual COM PORT for Windows platform user.
UMS: USB Mass Storage for non-Windows platform user.
(Note: Set UMS before entering "MSC mode"on 3.14)
3.19
TO USB MSC: Connection by Mass Storage Class (MSC)
mode mainly for non-Windows platform user.
Tip: How to get GPS data in USB MSC mode
(1) Set"USB CLASS"option to"UMS"first.
(Note: Before setting, the USB charging cable MUST be
disconnected.)
?
(2) Connect to USB, and press ADJUST/ "TO USB
MSC"to enter USB MSC state.
(3) Find a new flash drive with a READ only file-
GPSLOG.SBP on your host PC.
(4) Remove USB cable to exit."

I have a very vague memory about problems with Windows 11 when it first came out. I have a feeling the util is not supported.

Mine hasn't connected through the utility for a couple of years. I only use th3 GW60 for on water feedback. I use mass storage device and delete the log file every now and then.
