I'm a big bloke & I find it good if I have 20kts not a problem.
Its now a 40kt board as from last week at Wello.
Fantastic, reminds me of the Freeway of Love, an 8 km Sandbar in Shark bay, just not very accessible, you need a boat, and there are tiger sharks lurking So what u have is better bec its accessible!!
My good wife has gone & booked 6 days in Yamba from the middle of next week.

As a matter of interest, does the place work in a southerly, sailing on the other side of the rail track?
Strong tidal current in main channel. Could sail over to Iluka harbour.

Bruce, It would not be salable the wind is bloked from high hills buildings tree's etc from the south.
Whitings beach is at the end of the caravan park this is the best place to stay they have rooms or you can camp this is the only place to launch from.
Phil & I are looking at a good place to speed sail in a southerly up river but yet to try it out we will keep you all informed.
