Got a bit bored waiting for the winter storms to come in so set up a weather page that gives the current weather and 7 day forecasts for the fastest locations around the world. Used the iWindsurf interface to set it up, you can find the link here: wx.iwindsurf.com:443/profile/414169
This is what it looks like for today.
Here's a map of the locations.
I shouldn't say anything, but you're missing some awesome speed spots in WA
Feel free Stu, I had just picked the fastest locations in each country I could find from GP3S and GPSTC.
Great tool, Roo!
This will make it even harder to bear the fact that I have to go to work while I could travel from spot to spot using this.
I would think Leucate Phare can go, as it's right between Leucate and La Franqui in an unsailable location on the cliffs and narbonne Plage will make not much diffrence to Gruissan, being nvery close by.
What I'm always struggling with is the question whether the wind is a sailable angle or even one that is suitable for record-breaking speeds.
Woldn't it be great to collect the locals' expert knowledge and embed it here? So a forecast of , let's say 25+ knots in Sandy Point from such and such angle is promising?
I think Penghu is the most consistantly windy spot at this time of the year. Looks as if there is a speed strip there as well at Pengpeng beach. web.kite-and-windsurfing-guide.com/spots/kiteboarding-windsurfing-sup/pengpeng-beach-penghu-islands-taiwan-province-of-china.html
