Sorry no sailing in this one, just what the conditions were like at the end of the run. Bit windy today
Isn't it funny how everyone (who hasn't sailed it in epic conditions) thinks it is really flat water!
The winds peaked at around 50 knots again today! The new weather station at Yanakie had 50Kt peaks too, and it is a few KM inland directly downwind of us!!
This reminds me of the old days! Two days of nuclear winds in one week and it looks like another epic day next week in Thursday. If the Sandy Point Speed Fortnight had been on this year it would have been the best yet!
How long does a sail last on average in these sand blasting conditions??? Not much I guess ...
Well, a camera with mechanical zoom is seized in 10 seconds..

The sun does more damage than the sand. I,m still using a 5mt 09 Koncept that's put up with similar conditions, I had it rigged on the beach ready to go if the wind changed direction.
