Hi guys,
doing a trip to Tasmania for a month or so soon in the Motorhome, walking, mountain biking. Not sure if to bring the windsurfing trailer with all gear. Added fuel , mobility, hills in Tassie ! Plus the extra cost $700 -800$ for trailer WTF!? Yeap $300 for Motorhome, 80$ extra per extra meter, for trailer
So apart from sailing " the inlet" is the sailing in Tassie awesome ( slalom and speed)!? Or.. not worth all the above issues.,
thanks for feedback

There's a few spots that are OK for slalom boards in the SE (Dorans, Marion Bay, Pittwater, Cremorne and on the Derwent), with the main speed sailing spots being Port Sorell and Stanley in the NW. Plenty of other spots where you could sail, but unlikely to be anyone else there. Do you need to take the trailer or can you take just one board (speed/slalom) and one or two sails (5.5/6.2) in/on the Motorhome, so if it's good wherever you are you can still go out? If you're here in October the predominant wind should be from the WNW and good for Dorans in the SE and Port Sorell and Stanley in the NW.
There is a list of speeds that sailors have done at various spots around the state, so will dig that out and post again in the Tassie section.
