Where are the WA Speed Obsessed going tomorrow?
Perth & Bunbury. Australind looks to be the place at the northern end in the flat goodness.
Im going to work but might get the arvo dregs!
That's a bugger for you mate . Steve is workin too apparently. Stretchy is away too. Chris Mike Ratz & me in Bunno. Northern end.
33 with gusts to 42 and a nice 18 degrees in Mandurah. Feels stronger. Can not tell what it is like on the water as sunrise is an hour away. L Preston would be nice in the northerly. Is there any water there?

yes there is. 1m + on the water level indicator as of yesterday. Cannonball checked it out.

Looks like a lot of growth on the bank. N Australind doesn't have anything like that much, and the speed bank is a much better direction for a direct Northerly. Cheese graters is fun in a Northerly but you have to bear off into the chop to get any speed.
Did anybody sail it today?
Great. Will be the 9ish
Yes well you certainly were, but where did you go?
How come you didn't join us in the disappearing wind?
But I've had a taste of it now, want to come back next northerly.

Went to GH instead. No wind there either til later after it went SW. Was ok but our hearts weren't in it.
I was surprised how good it was at Novara and Alphaland/Len Howard yesterday. Normally the trees make a quite wind shadow and what does get through is gusty. I guess it was strong enough yesterday to push through. Was windy as and flat as out for several hundred metres but I did not go out as I was on my own.
I was surprised with the Australind wind dropping off. The weather guys were saying it would be stronger down south but it looks like it was better up here.

I believe that the Bunno wind gauge is well in land (Carey Park?) so if its green then its honking.
Busso jetty was the windiest place in Aust with a constant 40knts for most of the morning, bit rough at the end of the jetty tho. lol
Where abouts is alphaland? map or address. Id like to go there oneday.
Alpha land's between the Len Howard reserve and boundary Island, so named by Snides almost a decade ago. But if you're sailing downwind to it from Novara, beware of "The Rock Garden" it's straight out from The big green roofed gazebo in the Len Howard Reserve. We did have it well marked with plastic pipes, but they have slowly disappeared over the years.
Tomski set up some alpha markers there, they really help if you're trying to improve your alphas.
Saturday??????
WNW, I'm thinking possibly some coastal bay action
