A number of updates to the ka72.com calculation engine have been announced on the ka72.com facebook group today:

The most important thing to note is that files reloaded to ka72.com from today onwards may show slightly shorter total distances than when you originally uploaded them.
I am sensitive to the fact that there has been a lot of distance PBs the past few days, and I don't want to get anyone's nose out of joint. For competition purposes, I think its better if distances that were recorded during 2012 stay at the originally calculated values per your original upload, since that would leave you on an even par with all the other tracks uploaded to date. From 2013 onwards, everyone will be using the new calculation method, so again, competition should be even.
Feel free to compare with other software, and let me know if KA72 is taking a lot of kms off your track compared to other software. Always trying to improve...
