Hi All,

I was hoping for a bit of advice/guidance on where is the best place to practice windsurfing in Sydney (free-riding as the goal).

A bit of context: I just started learning from my dad who is an avid windsurfer but is out of state. I've been learning with him in a pretty sheltered area with basic currents and shallow water.

I would like to start practising and learning up here in Sydney but not sure where is a beginner-friendly place in South Sydney. I currently live in Cronulla. I know people windsurf at Wanda but the waves are a bit intimidating!

Any advice would be seriously welcomed! I'm very keen to keep on with the sport up here

Thank you! :)

in NE , E go to Kyeemagh beach carpark

in S , SE, SW go to George's river launch on riverside drive next to the sailing club at the Cook River bridge

in W go to foreshore beach lookout on foreshore road

Kurnell is very choppy , but you can sail in NE inside Quibray bay

enjoy and good luck !!
