This event shouldn't need any introduction, and shouldn't be missed.
I've been lucky enough to attend every one at green island this being the 7th since 2013.
Awesome location, easily accessible, fantastic organisation, quality sailing conditions and a great bunch of fellow sailboards to be around.
The photo galleries and videos speak for themselves

Mmmm I have $3 k...... go to Green Island for a week or WA for 2 months.
Really? 60 days @ $50 per day including all transport from southern Victoria? Thats some thrifty traveling, man! Never been to WA myself but Ive heard its wonderful. But, I guess you would not get to compete against your peers for an "Australian title", either?
This looks great!
how does it work, can anybody enter? Do you bring your gear over from cairns via ferry?
And what kinda slalom gear do ppl bring? I have jp 113L 7.5m Severne turbo.
Sorry for kook questions, I'm from Nsw and new to slalom racing, but super keen to compete.
my wife and I are travelling aus around coast with our camper trailer.
Oh also how much typically to get over and compete? And do you stay over night on island or go back to mainland.
cheers

Hi Mitch,
I am going for the first time this year and, as I understand it, most people are staying in Cairns and getting the ferry out and back each day. The gear you have sounds fine to me but I believe there is a gear limit of either two boards and two sails or one board and three sails. I know people have sailed the event with one board and one sail in the past. Not sure about the ferry costs.
THx Boston,
sounds good. I only have the one board anyway. I hope I can make it in time, might be a bit too much of a rush.
in any case hope the wind conditions will be good around that time.
The website has the info from last year but it's mostly still valid. Check it out. Under 2 months to go now.

Wow! That looks so windy. Even Muz's hair is (momentarily) flattened out!
All paid up and ready to rock!
Anyone driving up to Cairns from Sydney or somewhere near Sydney?
Got some gear that does not really like the airplane and would appreciate if someone could take it for me.
Willing to pay for gear transportation Sydney/Cairns return.
See you all up there!

27 hour drive vs 3 in a plane. I'm out!
