Howdy team
Taken a few lessons before, looking to take a few more and get into windsurfing.
Will I actually be able to learn over winter? Worried that the gusty westerlies may be tough, that it may be too cold, that there may be no one else out on the water until september, etc. I'm based up in the northern beaches,
Just wondering basically if I should wait until september, or if I may as well hook into it now.
Cheers
I'd look at buying my own cheap gear and getting to Narabeen lake, its safe and theres a few others that sail there.
With your own gear you can get out whenever you want. Also Pittwater can be nice and safe.
There used to be a hire place at Balmoral but not Sure if its still there ?
A lot of people keep windsurfing through the winter, you just need a good wetsuit. There are many good sunny days with medium or light southerlies. For renting and lessons you could try WSS boards in Manly: wssboards.com.au
Come and say hi a few of sail through winter. Mainly in westerlies. If it's nw try to get to top end palm beach. See you on water
