Hello Paul,
Is there racing tomorrow at St George sailing Cub?
I might jag a pass out if the planets align
(Formula board) rgds
No racing tomorrow at St George, Raceboards are away for the Heat 1 NSW series at Gosford. Perfect conditions for attacking the speed strip on your short board though.
Hi Paul, my hubby and I are interested in taking up windsurfing at St George. We are completely new to the sport. I have sailed and hubby has surfed, so we would like to give windsurfing a go. Can we come to the club and meet yourself and discuss getting started?

How can I sign Up?
Come down to the sailing club next Saturday approximately 12.30
Talk to any of the boys they will point you in the right direction.
I am fifteen do you mind?
Not a problem.
Do you have any mates that want to sail as well.
And bring your gear.
You must be pretty good 2231 arch that is a fair sail there and back.
See you there one saturday. Dont beat us all first go

See you there one saturday. Dont beat us all first go
I don't think I will beat you all first go, I won't be there every saturday because I do a lot of catamaran sailing and training, that takes priority over windsurfing.

Do you know or have you spoken to Michael Watkins, a qualified windsurfing instructor at the Kurnell Cat Club ? The club ran a windsurfing regatta this year (Feb 18th) for Bics & Raceboards. In 2019 (Feb 17th) it will happen again. I believe Michael has access to Bic / Techno equipment at the club to promote learning & racing.
I've sailed that journey many, many times, but you must be sure that the winds + tides are all good to start with. It's 6.4km in just straight lines between the two clubs. It's about 10km if you are tacking or gybing between the two.
Cheers,

Hey, I used to sail Lasers out of your club in the 1990's. Pretty good crew of people and some awesome sailors.
Looks like you don't have a 16ft Skiff fleet anymore? A shame, those boats were madness on the water.
So just getting back into windsurfing, will try and come down on a race day and introduce myself, check out what you guys are getting around on.
Hey Chris , we are at st George sailing club next to the bridge ,
We still have 16s & 5 other healthy classes, Saturdays 2pm is race day and you're more than welcome to come down.
Hope to see you there.
Sydney's premier and elite Southside windsurfing club,
'St George Sailing Club Windsurfing',
is recruiting new members.....
and your invitation is valid from late September onwards....
Formula, Foil, Race board, Hybrid, Windsurfer, and all longboards are welcome.
You don't have to be an expert to join in the fun.
Handicaps, Mentoring, Bbq's, Drinks, racy exploits racing and tall stories galore,
are available to all the new school crew.
Byo windsurfing gear, Saturday's from 2pm onwards.
The old school crew are refusing to retire, and just getting started,
Fast and furious, running the gauntlet, loading up, getting bullets,
and pulling the triggers, to get their fix .....'
'Fixing it big',
at Carters island, Speed Alley, Bermuda Triangle, and the Towra Point Break.....
The old club house is condemned and scheduled to be demolished,
nothing to do with the, so called
'characters, and the colourful racing identities,'
that frequent the summer racing season there.
So we're all sailing from Sanoni ave, G.R.S.C., Dolls Point, presently.
New school club house is coming soon
like us on Facebook, phone or email us
all welcome,
see you there, this summer.

I've just moved into the area, is there still a crew racing around the bay with the work being done on the club?
Yes every Saturday with racing starting at 2pm. We are rigging and sailing from the St George Riverclub while our club is being rebuilt, looking forward to meeting you
Awesome, I'm away for work until Christmas but when I'm back I'll be keen to get stuck into it.
Do you mean the 16ft club or is there another one I haven't found yet?
I've seen a few other blokes learning in the area too so will mention it to them as well.
Hi Valkyrie428, this is where we are rigging for the interim. We generally arrive at the club around midday with racing commencing at 2 pm.
Attached is a link for our 2019/2010 season calendar, come on down and say hi. If you require any additional info you can contact Keith Single our class captain, on the St George Sailing club website.
