A few of us got up there early to catch the SSW on Thursday. It started with a c 20kts plus and a windline halfway with solid 25-30kts. It then came in and got really rough.. There were 4-5 ' waves in the channel.
Hanging on for grim death, then no wind so a crawl on waterstart, then a buzz of a run down the swells on the waveboard..
and the hary trip back..
Nice video production Sue. Looked pretty rough conditions.....just a tad.
Thanks Wayne..It was a tad...a 3.8 or 4m would have been a better fit.
I stuffed up and accidentally put the go pro on time lapse stills which is why it isn't all video..I've gone back through and found a few extra.Ill post them when I get a chance..
Even going slow I couldn't keep the board from leaping out the top of the waves.. too overpowered to try jumping..
